Афара - торговое название древесины лимбы, принадлежащей к семейству Combretaceae (Комбретовые), известной под научным идентификатором Terminalia superba (Терминалия великолепная). Она происходит из западной экваториальной Африки и имеет контрастные прожилки; у нее прямая, густоволокнистая текстура с умеренно грубым ощущением. Изредка волокно может быть волнистым или переплетенным, создавая интересный рисунок, который не бросается в глаза.

ТЕРМИНЫ И ОПРЕДЕЛЕНИЯ

  • ЧЕТВЕРТЬ СРЕЗ - Шпон получается при четвертном распиле части (1/4, 1/3) бревна. Срез радиальный, перпендикулярный годовым кольцам роста: в результате получается полосатый шпон с вертикальной текстурой в направлении волокон.
  • ОКРАШЕННЫЙ ШПОН. Натуральный крашеный шпон всех пород древесины окрашивается по всей толщине.

  • DYED VENEER. Natural dyed veneers of all types of wood species are dyed throught the whole thickness.
